Frequently Asked Questions
Which racking system is right for my warehouse?
It depends on your SKU count, pallet turnover and building height. Selective racking gives direct access to every pallet and suits high SKU counts. Drive-in and push-back maximize density for fewer SKUs with bulk quantities. Narrow-aisle (VNA) maximizes both height and floor area where ceiling height allows. Our team can review your warehouse layout and recommend the optimal mix.
Is the racking suitable for frozen (-35C) cold stores?
Yes. ARCOPAN racking for cold-store applications uses hot-dip galvanized steel that resists corrosion from condensation cycling between defrost and freezing. We also recommend epoxy touch-up paint for any field-welded connections and stainless fasteners in high-humidity environments.
What design standards govern the racking design?
Racking is designed to FEM 10.2.02 guidelines and the EN 15512 (static), EN 15620 (tolerances) and EN 15629 (specification) family of European standards for steel static storage systems. Seismic design is available for projects in earthquake-prone regions on request.
Do you provide installation and load capacity certification?
Yes. Each project includes a structural calculation report confirming beam, frame and floor loadings, plus load notice signage for each bay as required by warehouse safety regulations. Installation can be supervised or fully managed by our technical team depending on project location.
Can racking be combined with ARCOPAN panel buildings?
Yes – many EPC and export clients order racking together with insulated wall and roof panels for a complete turnkey cold storage facility. We coordinate beam heights, aisle widths and door positions with the building envelope design for a fully integrated solution under one BOQ.
