Frequently Asked Questions

What is the minimum roof pitch for ARCOPAN roof panels?
ARCOPAN roof panels can be installed at a minimum pitch of 3 degrees (5.2%). For lower pitches a standing seam concealed-fix profile is required. The structural engineer should confirm load-span tables for each specific project.
How does PV solar integration work with the roof panels?
ARCOPAN offers two PV integration methods: factory-bonded lightweight thin-film PV laminated directly to the upper steel skin, or a clip-fix aluminium rail system for standard glass PV modules. Both avoid roof penetrations and preserve the waterproof integrity of the panel system.
What snow and wind loads can roof panels withstand?
Load capacity depends on thickness, span and fixing centres. At 150mm PIR with 3m span, panels carry up to 3.0 kN/m² snow load and 1.2 kN/m² wind uplift. Full load-span tables are provided with technical submissions for tender.
Is Rockwool A1 available for roofing applications?
Yes. ARCOPAN Rockwool roof panels achieve A1 non-combustible classification and Broof(t1) external fire performance under EN 13501-5. This satisfies EU CPR requirements for fire-sensitive building categories including schools, hospitals and high-rise structures.
What certifications apply to ARCOPAN roof panels?
CE marked under EN 14509 (self-supporting double skin metal-faced insulating panels). ISO 9001:2015 production quality. Full CE Declaration of Performance, load-span tables and fire test reports available for tender and building permit submissions.
