Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between ventilated and static (gravity) counters?
Ventilated counters use a fan to circulate cold air, giving more even temperatures and faster recovery after the doors are accessed – better for packaged goods and dairy. Static (gravity) counters cool by natural convection from a refrigerated base or rear panel, providing a gentler airflow that suits delicate products like cheese and charcuterie without drying them out.
Can counters be joined together to form a continuous run?
Yes. Modules in standard lengths (0.9m to 3.75m) can be joined with sealed end panels to create continuous runs of any total length, sharing a single remote condensing unit or with individual plug-in units per module – useful for long deli or supermarket counters.
Are remote or plug-in (self-contained) units better?
Plug-in units have a built-in compressor, making them easy to install anywhere with a power socket – ideal for single units or where running refrigerant pipework is impractical. Remote units connect to a central condensing unit, reducing noise and heat at the counter and improving energy efficiency for larger installations with multiple counters.
Can the counters be customised with our branding?
Yes. Front panels, side cladding and canopy can be finished in custom colours, laminates or printed graphics to match your store branding. LED lighting colour temperature can also be specified to complement product presentation.
What certifications and energy ratings apply?
Units are CE marked and tested to EN ISO 23953 for commercial refrigerated display cabinets, defining temperature class and energy consumption. ISO 9001:2015 governs production quality. Energy labels and full datasheets are provided for tender submissions.
