Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between PIR and PUR wall panels?
PIR has thermal conductivity λ=0.022 W/mK – approximately 8% better than PUR (λ=0.024). PIR also has higher fire class (Bs2d0 vs E under EN 13501-1) and better stability above 80°C. PUR is the cost-effective choice for standard temperature applications.
When is Rockwool A1 mandatory instead of PIR/PUR?
Rockwool is the only sandwich panel core achieving A1 non-combustible classification under EN 13501-1. Mandatory for buildings over 11m, hospitals, schools, care homes and public assembly under EU CPR and UK Building Regulations Part B.
What thicknesses and widths are available?
40-200mm (50, 80, 100, 120, 150, 175, 200mm standard). Width: 1,000 or 1,140mm. Custom lengths cut to order. MOQ: one full container (800-1,200 m² depending on thickness).
What coatings and steel finishes are offered?
Polyester (25μm), PVDF (25-year warranty), PVC plastisol (200μm for aggressive environments), Stainless Steel 304/316 for pharma/food grade. All available in RAL colours.
What certifications do ARCOPAN wall panels carry?
CE marked under EN 13162 (Rockwool) and EN 13165 (PIR/PUR). ISO 9001:2015. HACCP documentation for food-contact applications. Full test reports and CE Declaration of Performance available on request.
